WASHINGTON, D.C.—  Americans for Modern Transportation applauds this Administration’s efforts to prioritize the modernization of America’s infrastructure system.  President Trump has stated that he wants to remove red tape and deregulate our infrastructure system making it easier for American companies to safely and efficiently transport goods to consumers and businesses,” said AMT Executive Director, Randy Mullett.  “Allowing twin 33-foot trailers on the national highway network fits with this vision and should be part of the infrastructure solution when developing a modernized transportation system.  While most of the infrastructure debate will focus on how to pay for everything, Congress and the Administration must capitalize on commonsense solutions such as this, that don’t come with a price tag.”
