Today, the Trump administration officially rolled out a proposal for a $1.5 trillion in infrastructure investments. AMT has outlined the problem that currently exists with America’s infrastructure system and we are pleased the administration is addressing the problem head on. We will continue to encourage the administration and Congress to make common sense and forward looking steps to alleviate some of the congestion and burden on our nation’s roadways. At no cost to taxpayers, Congress has the opportunity to act to modernize trucking equipment by allowing a modest five foot increase in twin trailer length. AMT looks forward to working with administration officials and congressional leadership to move our infrastructure system forward.
